The other morning, on my way to the college, I was listening to the CBC. Jian Ghomeshi announced the death of Eva Dien Brine Markvoort. His brief monologue on Eva was so moving that I was compelled to look her up on the Internet. Having read some of her blog, looked at her photos and videos, I shared her story with my students.
